THE ROAD BACK, provides a compelling look inside drug addiction through the relationship between a wealthy white executive alcoholic living in sobriety and his friend, a black barber hooked on heroine as he tries do deal with relapse and challenges of staying sober. The story is told through the prism of it’s director Vincent Brantley, who has a personal connection to substance abuse because his father was a cocaine addict for 17 years and passed away during the making of the film. It’s a story of love, it’s a story of life and death, it’s a story of triumph.
